Annual Appraisals

Here at Hydrotech, we conduct annual appraisals where we assess your performance and accomplishments.

Self Evaluations will be sent out in March each year, here we ask you various questions about how you are performing. Once you have completed your self evaluation, your manager will then complete their section and will then go through it with you. You and your manager will agree on 3 objectives for you to achieve within the next year. In September, you will have a mid year check in where you can see whether you are on track, and whether you need any support. The process will begin in March again, where your manager will assess if you achieved your objectives and will then set new objectives in line with the business goals.

The appraisal process is also a brilliant way for you to have discussions around your future with the company. You will need to be honest in terms of where you may not be quite ready yet, and then your manager (with the help of HR) will create a plan for you to get there for when the opportunity arises.

70-20-10 Approach

We embrace a framework known as the 70-20-10. 70% of your learning takes place on the job, 20% is through interaction and collaboration, this could be with your manager or with your team. The final 10% is through formal classroom based training or courses.

We also offer informal learning, coaching and mentoring, on-the-job instruction, apprenticeships, leadership shadowing, action-based learning, on-demand access to digitial learning.
